Registration/TuitionThe requirement for acceptance into the course is that you are licensed to teach in K-12 grades and you have a Bachelors degree from a 4 year College. REGISTRATION: To register for a class, click on https://www.www.scps.virginia.edu/applying-registering/. and then click on New Students (Defined as not taken a course in 3 semesters) or Returning Students (Defined as have taken a course within 3 semesters). New Students If you are a new student, submit the biographic form online to identify you. After you receive permission from UVa via a return email approving you, mail or fax the class registration form to UVa. Returning Students If you are a returning student, mail or fax the class registration form directly. If you are a MAPE candidate, you can email your registation form. If you need help, call 800-346-3882 and an administrator in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies(SCPS) will answer your questions over the phone. Click on Class Registration for an example of a class registration form and a list of tuition rates. TUITION FOR K-12 EDUCATORS - FALL 2011 - SUMMER 2012: Graduate in-state resident tuition for K-12 Educator is $235/cr. The first 3 credits are discounted so that the cost is $235/cr x 3 cr = $705. The off-grounds fee is $17/cr x 3 cr= $51. The total cost for 3 cr is is $756. More than 3 cr are not discounted and is $351/cr. Graduate out-of-state resident tuition for a K-12 educator is $525/cr. The first 3 credits are discounted so that the cost is $525 /cr x 3 cr = $1575. The off-grounds fee is $17/cr x 3 cr= $51. The total cost for 3 cr is is $1626. More than 3 cr are not discounted and is $740/cr. Registration is open Monday 9:00 AM through Friday 4:30 PM. |
