Registration/Tuition

Acceptance
The requirement for acceptance into the course is that you are licensed to teach in K-12 grades and you have a Bachelors degree from a 4 year College.

Registration

To register for a class, click on https://www.www.scps.virginia.edu/applying-registering/. and then click on New Students (Defined as not taken a course in 3 semesters) or Returning Students (Defined as have taken a course within 3 semesters).

New Students
If you are a new student, submit the biographic form online to identify you. After you receive permission from UVa via a return email approving you, mail or fax the class registration form to UVa.

Returning Students
If you are a returning student, mail or fax the class registration form directly. If you are a MAPE candidate, you can email your registation form.

Tuition for K-12 Educators - Fall 2011 through Summer 2012

The total cost for registering for a online course is tuition plus an off-grounds fee ($17/cr.).
The total cost for a 3 cr online course for an in-state and out-of-state educator is given below:
  • Educator in-state residence rate $235 per credit. For a 3 cr. course the total cost is $756 including the off-grounds fees.
  • Educator out-of-state resident rate $525 per credit. For a 3 cr. course the total cost is $1626 including the off-grounds fee.
Registration is open Monday 9:00 AM through Friday 4:30 PM.
