Nuclear Matter Quasielastic Data

Find here the quasilelastic electron scattering data for Nuclear Matter. These data were produced through an extrapolation of the responses of finite nuclei; the procedure is described in "Nuclear matter response function", D.B. Day et al. Phys. Rev. C 40, 1011Ð1024 (1989)(Day:1989nw).


There are two data sets for nuclear matter. The first (click here) was the result of an extpolation of the responses for finite nuclei after first subtracting the nucleonic excitations. The second (click here) includes the nucleonic responses.

The labels across the top of each plot are the Z, A (taken to be 999 for nuclear matter), Energy (GeV), angle(degrees), the 4-momentum transfer at the top of the quasielastic peak (x=1) and the citation, respectively.
